As the Specialist Doctor at the Aeromedical Centre, you will be responsible for medical certification of flight staff and provide specialist aviation medicine advice. You will develop policies for efficient Aeromedical Health Services, support health educational programs, certify fitness to fly for QR and other airlines’ aircrew, and provide regulatory advice regarding passenger health issues. Additionally, you will oversee the company doctors and maintain up-to-date knowledge of aviation medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop policies and procedures for the Aeromedical Health Service.

- Certify the fitness to fly for QR and non-QR flight deck and cabin crew.

- Provide medical consultations and advice on passenger health issues.

- Oversee the performance of company doctors assigned to the aeromedical centre.

- Maintain knowledge of scientific research in aviation medicine and compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of job-related experience.

- Accredited specialist in Occupational Medicine with a qualification in Aviation Medicine.

- Class 1 Aviation Medical Examiner with an ICAO contracting state for at least 5 years.

- Experience in passenger health and aeromedical retrieval.

- Command of the English language.
