Calo is seeking a passionate leader for the role of Director of Retail. This position will focus on enhancing the performance and growth of our retail operations, which currently comprise 5 active cafes. The Director will be responsible for building systems for scale, fostering employee culture, managing expansion plans, ensuring operational excellence, overseeing marketing strategies, and guiding menu development. This role is primarily based in Bahrain and will require frequent travel to KSA cafe teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build a positive employee culture within the cafes and develop strong training programs.

- Lead the development of expansion plans and negotiate retail stores across the region.

- Oversee the development and preparation of short-term and long-term operational plans.

- Manage marketing strategies for all retail branches and oversee content and merchandise plans.

- Oversee quarterly planning of menu launches and ensure quality of food.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in F&B retail operations preferably in the operations and pre-opening space.

- Strong leadership skills with experience in building teams/departments.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Passion for food and the food industry.
